THINK, PEOPLE, THINK

Don’t you think it’s time to be concerned with the study of those states and processes in which people experience a deeper or wider sense of who they are, or a sense of greater connectedness with others, nature or the spiritual dimension?

Transpersonal experiences involve a HIGHER mode of CONSCIOUSNESS in which the ordinary mental self is transcended.

SPIRITUAL CASTAWAYS

It would seem a fair assessment of character to say that those who have an unhealthy attitude toward sin quickly develop a healthy appetite for it. Where men cast off the unchanging values of the Bible, one finds a society of spiritual castaways. Peddlers of sin emit a bug light which first draws and then destroys the souls of unrighteous men. That which is beautiful and spiritual is denigrated as ugly and inhibiting. Set forth as glamorous and desirable is the putrid and deleterious.

DREAMS!

DREAMS: A GIFT YOU GIVE YOURSELF
by Ginger E. Blume, Ph.D.

We all dream, every single night. In fact, we probably have three or four dreams each night, depending upon the depth and length of our sleep. Some people never recall their dreams, while others value and remember their dreams each morning. I believe our dreams are a wonderful resource for helping understand our secret fears and desires. Dreams connect us with our innermost selves. Some dream experts believe that dreams are gifts from our unconscious.  – Excerpt

NOT MY IDEA!

I’m going to ask the following question for just one reason: My friend, Leslie, thinks I’m very handsome. In fact, she thinks I could make movies. Here’s her question:

"Do you think Hank is better looking than Tom Cruise and/or Brad Pitt?" – Leslie

Now I can go back to being humble!

‘TIS A SHAME:

While growing up, most of us are taught the value of saving: saving money, saving items we might need in the future, saving special collections of things like coins, dolls, rare books, etc. However, sometimes, the desire to save goes awry. There are people who develop an illness where they must save items that have no purpose or value such as old newspapers and magazines, lists, old notes, ties for garbage bags, strings, bottle caps, socks without a mate, torn clothing, etc. In fact, approximately 600,000 to 1.2 million people suffer from a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, called Compulsive Hoarding. This illness can literally invade a person’s life, crowding them out of their living space and affecting social relationships, health, and career.

NOW WHAT?

In a season dedicated to hope and expectant longing, it is good to
name the fact that for some of us, life is very difficult. For some,
there are extraordinarily painful realities before us. More and more,
financial dilemmas are tearing us apart.  If we have lost a loved one,
if we are in the middle of a deteriorating or abusive relationship or
trying to cope with a broken one, grief can cloud our hope.

Would you not agree that increasing our speed on a trip is
pointless if we are not heading in the right direction? Likewise,
looking for meaning in life by simply increasing our ‘busyness’ will
bring only emptiness, not true fulfillment. Consider how some have
tried to fill this need in their search for the purpose of life.

I HAVE ONE PURPOSE FOR LIVING: HELPING OTHERS. GOOD THINGS HAPPEN
TO GOOD PEOPLE. THIS IS FACT!
